Kosovo imports nearly seven times more than it exports

Kosovo imported €680.3 million in goods in June but exported only €102 million.

The gap left the country with a trade deficit of €578.3 million, up 16.1% from a year earlier.

Exports covered just 15% of imports. In other words, Kosovo sold about €15 abroad for every €100 of goods it bought.

Imports rose 17.6% from June 2025. Exports increased faster, by 26.9%, but remained far smaller.

The European Union supplied 44.8% of Kosovo’s imports and bought 31.9% of its exports.

CEFTA countries remained Kosovo’s largest export market, taking 43.1% of total exports.

The figures were published by the Kosovo Agency of Statistics.
