
Albanians travelled more in 2025, with trips abroad showing the strongest growth, new INSTAT figures show.
People aged over 15 made about 4.5 million trips during the year. Almost all were personal, with business travel accounting for just 2.4%.
The pattern changed depending on the destination. Inside Albania, most trips were for holidays and leisure. Abroad, people mainly travelled to visit relatives and friends.
Foreign trips rose by 14.3% compared with 2024, while air travel increased by about 14%.
Albanians stayed an average of 5.3 nights per trip, with August the busiest month of the year.
Tirana was the top domestic destination, followed by Vlora. Italy remained the most popular foreign destination, ahead of Greece and Germany.
