Russian attack on Kyiv kills 11

A Russian missile and drone attack on Kyiv killed 11 people and injured 46 overnight, Ukrainian officials said.

The injured include two children. At least 15 residential buildings were damaged or destroyed in the attack on July 5-6.

The worst damage was reported in the Podilskyi and Darnytskyi districts. In Podilskyi, part of a nine-storey apartment building collapsed from the eighth to the fourth floor.

In Darnytskyi, apartments in a 25-storey residential building were destroyed by fire. Another high-rise caught fire after being hit by falling debris.

Rescue teams were still searching for people trapped under rubble, and officials said the final death toll could change.
