At least 82 people have been killed in a coal mine explosion in northern China, state media said.
The blast happened at the Liushenyu mine in Shanxi province on Friday evening.
Xinhua said 247 miners were working at the site when the explosion happened.
Rescue operations are still continuing.
Authorities have not yet said what caused the blast.
Shanxi is one of China’s main coal-producing regions, where mine accidents remain a serious risk despite tighter safety rules.
