Arab states have welcomed the US-Iran agreement, saying it could help restore stability in the Middle East.
Lebanese President Joseph Aoun said the deal recognised that Lebanon’s security was central to any serious effort to calm the region.
Qatar said the agreement could support economic growth, while Egypt called it a turning point for trust, cooperation and diplomacy.
Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Jordan praised the mediation efforts of Pakistan and Qatar, which helped bring Washington and Tehran to the deal.
The Gulf Cooperation Council said it hoped the memorandum would lead to a permanent agreement and help settle wider disputes in the region.
