Authorities launch major organised crime operation

Albania’s special prosecutors have launched a major operation targeting a suspected organised crime group accused of drug trafficking and money laundering.

SPAK, the country’s anti-corruption and organised crime prosecution office, is working with State Police to enforce arrest warrants.

Investigators suspect the group of trafficking narcotics and laundering large amounts of money through criminal activity.

Authorities have not yet released the number of suspects, arrests or seized assets.
