Albania’s economy grew by 3.8% in 2025, helped by tourism income, stronger lending and higher consumer spending, the central bank governor has said.
Gent Sejko told parliament’s economy committee that inflation stayed low and stable, averaging 2.2% for the year.
Exports rose to €10bn, up 10.5% from 2024, while the current account deficit fell to 0.7% of GDP. Foreign reserves reached €7.3bn.
Public debt also dropped to 52.9% of GDP.
Sejko said the banking sector remained stable, with strong capital and liquidity levels. Bad loans fell to 3.8%, their lowest level since 2008.
