
June 30, 2024 - Today, Albania proudly unveils its first category A highway, meeting the European Union’s top standards for safety and speed.
The newly completed Thumanë-Kashar road is opening this afternoon, marking a significant leap in the nation’s infrastructure development. Stretching 21 kilometers, this crucial segment of the Blue Corridor connects the northern and southern regions of Albania, promising to alleviate traffic congestion significantly.
Motorists can expect a speed limit of 130 km/h, with state-of-the-art safety features ensuring a smooth and secure journey. The road’s inauguration is set to enhance travel efficiency and stimulate economic growth by facilitating better transportation links.
