Premier Rama says EU enlargement cannot wait forever

Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama says the European Union cannot keep delaying enlargement to the Western Balkans.

Speaking at a forum in Germany, Rama said countries in the region should be allowed to take part gradually while proving they can meet EU standards.

He said Albania was working to digitise public services and move closer to the EU.

Rama said bringing the Western Balkans into the bloc would make Europe stronger, not weaker.
