Clinton lands in Albania

Former US President, Bill Clinton has arrived in Albania today for a two-day visit. This is the first time the former President visits Albania.

President Clinton and his delegation were received at Tirana International Airport by the Albanian PM, Edi Rama. During the evening, there will also be a special official ceremony, which will take place in front of the government's building.

Albanians have a special relationship with the former US President.  Ethnic Albanians give Mr. Clinton credit for the NATO bombing campaign which brought an end to the Kosovo conflict in 1999. This allowed those who had fled to return to their homes.
