
Albania marks a significant milestone this year as it commemorates the 15th anniversary of its NATO membership, underscoring its enduring commitment to global security and defense. Minister of Defense Niko Peleshi, speaking from Brussels, expressed profound gratitude for the continued dedication of Albanian representatives.
"Membership in NATO remains a privilege for Albania, reaffirming our unwavering commitment to international security," remarked Minister Peleshi. "I commend the tireless efforts of our delegation in advocating for our national interests and fostering collaboration within NATO's diverse committees and commands, both in Brussels and across the Alliance."
Since becoming a NATO member in 2009, Albania has undergone significant transformations in its security and defense landscape. The country's NATO membership has served as a catalyst for modernization and reform within its armed forces, aligning them with international standards and practices.
