Canada rescue late draw against Bosnia in Toronto

Canada avoided defeat in their opening Group B match after a late equaliser earned them a 1-1 draw against Bosnia and Herzegovina in Toronto.

Bosnia took the lead in the 21st minute after Canada failed to clear a corner, leaving Lukic to score from close range.

Canada pushed for a way back after half-time, while Bosnia remained dangerous on the counter and from set-pieces.

The hosts levelled in the 78th minute when Cyle Larin’s deflected shot found the net.

Both teams start with one point before Qatar face Switzerland in the other Group B match.
