Brazil knocked out of World Cup by Norway

Brazil are out of the World Cup after losing 2-1 to Norway in the last 16.

Norway took one of the biggest results of the knockout stage and will now face either Mexico or England in the quarter-finals.

Brazil had reached the last 16 after beating Japan in the previous round, but their campaign ended before the final eight.

Norway’s win follows their victory over Ivory Coast in the round of 32 and keeps their World Cup run alive.

Mexico and England play next, with the winner meeting Norway.
