Kosovo writer Rexhep Qose dies

Rexhep Qose, a leading Albanian-language writer and literary scholar, has died, his family says.

He died on April 23 and was buried the same day in a private ceremony with close relatives.

The family says there will be no public mourning events, in line with his wishes.

They also say they will not take part in official ceremonies. The family has asked for privacy as they mourn.

Qose was widely known for his work in literature, criticism and public debate in the Albanian-speaking world.
