Govt declares national mourning for filmmaker Anagnosti

TIRANA, Sep 2 (TemA) – The Albanian government declared a national day of mourning on Tuesday for Dhimiter Anagnosti, the veteran film and theatre director who died on Monday aged 89.

Flags will fly at half-mast nationwide. State institutions will hold tributes. Public homage is scheduled for later on Tuesday at the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet in Tirana.

The government’s Media and Information Agency announced the decision and cited Anagnosti’s cultural legacy.
