Albanian police dismantle suspected arms network

Police in Albania say they have broken up a suspected arms network accused of selling guns, explosives and ammunition in Tirana.

Four people were arrested in the latest stage of the investigation, while two others are wanted.

Police said the group supplied weapons across the capital.

The wider case has led to nine arrests and the seizure of 17 firearms, including pistols and automatic rifles.

Officers also seized explosives, ammunition, four vehicles and 13 mobile phones.

Police said they are investigating whether more people were involved.
