Argentina and France moved closer to the World Cup knockout stage with clear wins, while Norway survived a tense game against Senegal.

Argentina beat Austria 2-0 to win their first two matches in Group J. The result leaves the world champions in control before their final group game against Jordan.

France also made it two wins from two, beating Iraq 3-0 in Group I.

Norway stayed level with France on six points after a 3-2 win over Senegal, who now face a difficult final match.

Algeria kept their campaign alive by beating Jordan 2-1 in Group J, recovering from their opening defeat to Argentina.

The results leave Argentina, France and Norway in a strong position to reach the last 32.
