Bosnian authorities found 42 foreign nationals without legal stay in the country during checks on illegal accommodation in Sarajevo.
The operation took place in Ilidža, a suburb of the Bosnian capital.
Officials said 21 Bangladeshis, 10 Pakistanis and three Nepalis were found in one building, while eight more foreign nationals were found in an illegal “wild hotel”.
Authorities said the migrants had entered Bosnia from Montenegro.
Two Pakistani nationals were identified as suspected migrant smugglers and ordered to be deported.
A Sudanese national, described by officials as linked to cross-border crime, was also ordered to leave Bosnia.
The others were sent to a temporary reception centre near Sarajevo.
The property owners were fined. (RFE)
