DAVOS — Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said the creation of the Board of Peace has further divided Europe, with many EU countries staying out or withholding their position.
Speaking on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum, Vucic said it remains unclear how the U.S.-led initiative, proposed by President Donald Trump, will develop.
“Some see it as a parallel to the United Nations, but it is not clear in which direction it will go, or who would contribute forces,” Vucic told reporters.
He noted that major EU states, including France, Germany and Italy, are not participating, while China has only confirmed receiving an invitation.
Vucic said the implications of the new body should become clearer in the coming weeks.
