Ukraine drones: Seven killed in strike on Russian warehouse

A Ukrainian drone strike on a retail warehouse in western Russia has killed seven night-shift workers and left 24 others injured,.

Tambov Governor Evgeny Pervyshov says the overnight attack hit a logistics centre owned by the online retailer Wildberries in the town of Kotovsk,.

The company confirms a second warehouse in Elektrostal, near Moscow, was also targeted. Firefighters have controlled the blaze in Tambov, but emergency crews are still working at the site near the capital.

In the capital, Mayor Sergei Sobyanin says Russia faced a massive overnight barrage. He reports that more than 370 drones were launched toward the Moscow region, with air defences shooting down 64 before they could reach the city.

Kyiv says the strikes are direct retaliation for ongoing Russian attacks against Ukrainian cities.

Meanwhile, US-led peace talks have stalled in recent months as Washington shifts its diplomatic focus toward its conflict with Iran.
