Veteran journalist Artur Zheji dies at 64

TIRANA, Aug 23 (TemA) – Albanian journalist and publicist Artur Zheji died on Saturday at the age of 64 after suffering cardiac arrest, hospital officials in Saranda confirmed.

Born in 1961 to a family of artists and intellectuals, Zheji spent decades in media, serving in leadership roles at national broadcaster RTSH and the daily Mapo.

Since 2017 he was best known as host of “360 Gradë,” a widely watched political debate show on Ora News and later ABC News.

Colleagues hailed his direct style and integrity, noting his reputation for sharp political commentary.

Zheji’s sudden death leaves what peers called a major void in Albanian journalism, but also a legacy of critical analysis and intellectual rigor.
