The US Embassy has issued a clear warning to visa holders: even after you receive your visa, you're still being monitored—and breaking immigration rules could get you deported.
In a statement posted on social media, the US Embassy in Tirana reminded visa holders that American immigration authorities continue checking compliance even after a visa is granted.
“Visa screening doesn’t stop once the visa is issued,” the post reads. “We regularly review visa holders to ensure they follow all U.S. immigration laws. Those who don’t will lose their visa and be deported.”
The warning reflects a broader shift toward stricter immigration enforcement under updated U.S. policy, with the State Department saying it’s committed to making America “safer through more rigorous policies.”
Visa holders are urged to remain in full compliance with all rules while in the U.S.—or risk being sent home.
