January 16, 2025 – Kledian Llaho, the chief prosecutor of Saranda, has been suspended following accusations of passive corruption involving judges. The decision came after an investigation led by the Special Prosecutor’s Office (SPAK), with Llaho suspected of illegally benefiting his father-in-law, V.GJ., through corrupt practices.
On January 6, 2025, Llaho was officially named in the case, where he is under scrutiny for accepting illicit material gains while holding his position. The Special Court for Corruption and Organized Crime suspended him from his public duties, citing concerns over his abuse of power as a prosecutor.
This latest development follows an administrative review by the High Council of Prosecution (KLP) after a request from the Inspectorate of Justice (ILD). Investigators suggest that Llaho may have committed further illegal acts involving others, with his actions now under thorough examination.
