Only 1% joined coastal project protests, poll shows

A new poll suggests only 1% of adults in Albania have joined protests against the disputed Zvërnec coastal tourism project.

The protests have been held in Tirana for nine days.

The survey found that 52% of respondents support the investment.

Another 46% said they were sceptical, but had not joined the protests because they did not believe taking part would change anything.

The poll questioned 1,475 adults across Albania through an anonymous online form sent by random SMS.

The reported margin of error is 2.5 percentage points.
