Low turnout and tensions mark 13th opposition protest in Tirana

Tirana, June 21, 2024 — Despite scorching temperatures, the opposition in Tirana staged its 13th protest today outside City Hall.

Drone footage revealed a surprisingly low turnout among protesters this Friday.

The demonstration turned violent once again, with some protesters arrested for throwing Molotov cocktails, posing serious risks to police officers. Reports indicate one officer has been injured.
