Interior minister says balloons with laughing gas will be banned

Interior minister, Taluant Balla said on Thursday that police will ban the use of nitrous oxide balloons.

Although Albania still doesn't have a piece of legislation in place which bans the use of these kinds of balloons, the minister said that authorities will rely in several conventions which qualify this substance as drug.

During today's debates in parliament, the interior minister also urged the opposition to vote the recent package the government has approved to boost security in schools and prevent the trade and distribution of narcotic substances near schools.
