Albania’s interior minister, Bledi Cuci has asked his British counterpart, Suella Braverman to grant amnesty to undocumented Albanians who live in Great Britain by doing honest jobs and who don’t have criminal records.
“We believe illegal migration cannot be addressed without improving legal migration. That’s why I asked my British counterpart to review the status of Albanian nationals who live and work in the UK, to offer them the opportunity to work legally. I also asked her to grant amnesty to every undocumented Albanian who lives in Great Britain by doing honest jobs and who doesn’t have any criminal records,” Cuci said.
In a statement, the minister said the meeting with his British counterpart, which took place on Friday in London, focused on ways to tackle illegal migration and organized crime.
