Anastasios Yanulatos, the head of Albania's Orthodox Church, has died aged 95.
The Archbishop passed away this morning at 8:30 in an Athens hospital after weeks of treatment for organ failure.
Known as the man who brought the church back to life after Albania's atheist regime, Yanulatos rebuilt hundreds of churches, trained new priests, and set up schools and charities during his 33 years in charge.
The church called his death a "great loss" and urged believers to pray for their leader.
Memorial plans are expected soon.
