Albania hosts Defender 2023 military exercises

24 thousand troops from the US, Albania and partner countries will be deployed today in central Tirana to participate in the biggest military drill of the year, Defender Europe 2023.

In a message posted on social media, PM Rama urged citizens to join the most important event of the year which boosts cooperation and military capabilities in times of crisis and conflict.

"The biggest military exercise of the US army in Europe includes 24 thousand from ally countries and partners. We want to increase the degree of readiness and cooperation with the US and NATO member countries," Rama's message says.
