US commends Albania's progress on its path toward EU membership

US ambassador to Albania, Yuri Kim has congratulated Albania on the progress made in the process of EU integration. In a message posted on social media, Kim says Albanians and the Albanian government deserve respect for the difficult changes which have been made.

“Great to see Albania move forward on its path toward EU membership. The people and the government Albania deserve respect for making difficult changes so far. The US will continue to strongly support Albania’s progress to become EU Member State, including efforts to implement necessary reforms,” the US ambassador wrote on Twitter.

Albania must complete 35 chapters in order to join the European Union and these chapters include foreign policy and fight against corruption.
