The Albanian government has communicated with the highest instances of the North Atlantic Alliance so that KFOR can take northern Kosovo under control in order to prevent any further escalation of the situation.
The news was confirmed by the Albanian PM, Edi Rama in a message posted on social media, in which he also calls on the West to react about Serbia’s decision to declare a national day of mourning for the Serbs killed during the armed clash with Kosovo police.
Rama has also replied to those who have criticized his proposal that the NATO peace keepingmission in Kosovo, KFOR, must control the northern part of the country. The PM said KFOR is a NATO structure and doesn’t work on behalf of Serbia.
