Lezha mayor indicted on abuse of office charges

January 9, 2025 – Pjerin Ndreu, the Mayor of Lezha, has been officially indicted on charges of abuse of office. The Special Court of Against Corruption and Organized Crime (GJKKO) has appointed Judge Etleva Deda to handle his case, marking a crucial development in the ongoing legal battle.

The charges stem from allegations that Ndreu abused his office for personal gain. However, the mayor insists the accusations are politically driven and has denied any wrongdoing.

Ndreu had previously stated, "I was called as a person under investigation. I will always appear when asked to clarify things."
