Berisha suggests mandatory voting

Former PM, Sali Berisha held a virtual conversation with his followers on social media on Saturday to talk about the Democratic Party’s election defeat a week ago and the reorganization of the party’s structures.

Berisha said the May 14 elections were stolen and that the opposition is analyzing every detail of these elections.

“It was clear that the elections were bought because the government spent 100 million euros for roads and reconstruction. We’re also in possession of documents that indicate show that tens of Albanian citizens who live abroad appear, in fact, as if they’ve voted,” Berisha said.

Meanwhile, the democrat leader also suggested mandatory voting. According to him, this way of voting puts an end to the practice of vote-buying.
