Berisha continues to accuse ruling party of electoral fraud

Former PM and leader of one of the Democratic Party's factions, Sali Berisha said on Wednesday that the government managed to buy people's votes for the May 14 mayoral election by increasing pensions for 670 thousand pensioners and by increasing salaries for 200 thousand public administration employees.

The opposition leader said that hundreds of subsidies, procurements and fictitious tenders were given during the election campaign with the aim of buying the votes of Albanian people.

Meanwhile, despite the defeat in the local government elections, Berisha said he doesn't intend to resign, while blaming the ruling party of electoral fraud.
