Begaj requests Poland's support for Kosovo's accession to NATO

Albanian president, Bajram Begaj met on Thursday the Polish president, Andrzej Duda, who is on an official visit to the country.

At a joint news conference after the meeting, Begaj said he had expressed his "gratitude to president Duda for the solidarity shown by the Polish people following the destructive earthquake that hit Albania in November 2019 and the Covid-19 pandemic".

Begaj said that the two state leaders also discussed about economic cooperation, which needs to deepen.

On the other hand, the Albanian head of the state said he had asked the Polish counterpart his country's support for Kosovo's accession to NATO.
