Albania backs Ukraine at Ramstein defence summit

January 10, 2025 — Albania has doubled down on its support for Ukraine, with Deputy Defence Minister Dorian Tola representing the nation at the 25th Defence Contact Group meeting.

The summit, held at the US airbase in Ramstein, saw key allies pledging to ramp up military and humanitarian aid for Ukraine. Albania joined the chorus, vowing to stand by Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression.

“This partnership is crucial for strengthening Ukraine’s defences,” said Albania’s Ministry of Defence.
