US ambassador to Belgrade, Christopher Hill said on Wednesday that the Association of Serb-majority Municipalities (ASM) in Kosovo should be established by summer this year.
In an interview for Serbian TV station, K1, ambassador Hill said the European proposal for the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia must be implemented by the end of this year.
Last month, envoys from the US, European Union, Germany, France and Italy met with leaders of both countries in an attempt to convince them to sign an agreement on that plan, which obliges both countries to implement the agreements reached so far in the EU sponsored dialogue.
Meanwhile, western diplomats are also putting pressure on Pristina to implement the agreement on the Association of Serb-majority Municipalities.
