Berisha's warning for Basha and Alibeaj similar to that for Anthony Blinken and Yuri Kim

When it comes to their experience with Sali Berisha, Lulzim Basha and Enkelejd Alibeaj seem to be sharing a similar one with that of Ambassador Yuri Kim and Secretary of State Anthony Blinken. Both Alibeaj and Basha have openly refused to participate in Berisha’s upcoming protest on July 7th, stating that it will divide the opposition even further, while serving only to Berisha’s personal and family interests. Following this statement, Alibej and Basha have been warned by Sali Berisha not to be anywhere near the upcoming protest, implying that they might be lynched by the angry protesters.

Now, if he wanted to be more visionary Sali Berisha should have included in his warning list several other MPs who have rejected him. That way it would at least seem as if it was Berisha who rejected them and not the opposite.

The situation is now similar to that with Mr. Blinken. Following the sanctioning by the State Department, Sali Berisha claimed the he intended to sue the Secretary of State and that he would not travel to the United States until he had received an apology. The real issue however is that he banned from entering the US and this has nothing to do with Mr. Blinken’s apology.

The same happened with US Ambassador, Mrs. Yuri Kim. Following her statement that the Embassy was going to distance itself officially from any individual designated as non-grata, Sali Berisha accused her of working for George Soros and Edi Rama and that he did not want to meet with her. The real issue again was it was Mrs. Ambassador who distanced herself from Berisha and not vice versa.

Lulzim Basha and Enkelejd Alibeaj as well as several other Democrats have refused to participate in Berisha’s upcoming protest. Now since he could not convince them, Sali Berisha is claiming that it was actually he who refused them first. At the end of the day, all this is being done because of his fear that the court might overrule his legitimacy over the Democratic Party’s leadership. Therefore, it is clear that through his protest, Sali Berisha aims only to break up the opposition once and for all. At this point, he must have all of Edi Rama’s sympathy. While the Prime Minister cannot express his sympathy for politicians who are sanctioned by the US, he still respects Berisha for what he is doing to the opposition.
