The price of diesel in the country has seen a record increase this afternoon. The Transparency Board, a body set up by the government to monitor fuel prices after the start of the war in Ukraine, decided to increase the price of diesel 22 leks per litre.
As of 6 pm on Friday, a litre of diesel will cost 245 leks. The price of petrol will also go up from 198 leks to 204 leks. Meanwhile, the price of liquid gas has remained unchanged.
This sudden increase in the price of fuel is the immediate effect of the decision announced by OPEC countries to reduce daily production of oil. After this announcement, the price of crude oil rose to $ 96 a barrel.
