Foreign tourist arrivals to Albania up 27% in Jan-Aug

Albania welcomed 7,190,410 tourists from abroad in the first eight months of 2023, a 27% rise from the same period in 2022, Tourism Minister Mirela Kumbaro said, citing preliminary data.

In August alone, a total of 2,022,754 foreign tourists visited Albania, an 18% increase from the prior-year period, according to a video shared by the minister on social media last week.

In 2022, as many as 7.5 million foreign tourists visited Albania, up 33% compared with the previous year. (SeeNews)
