Foreign remittances up 20%

The flow of foreign remittances to Albania increased by 20% year-on-year to 230 million euro ($234.1 million) in the second quarter of 2023, according to central bank data.

Money sent home by Albanian citizens living abroad in the April to June period grew by 7.5% compared with the first quarter, Bank of Albania said in a current account report on Monday.

The flow of foreign remittances to Albania increased to 833.7 million euro in 2022, compared to 760.9 million euro in 2021. (SeeNews)
