December 2024 saw a significant rise in the number of people entering Albania, with 1,442,193 arrivals, marking a 5.8% increase compared to December 2023.
Out of these, 654,342 were foreign nationals, representing a 6.1% rise from the previous year. The majority—97%—of foreign arrivals came from Europe, with Southern Europe accounting for 84% of these visitors, followed by Western Europe at 7%.
Most foreigners entering Albania (97%) came for personal reasons, such as holidays or family visits. This figure increased by 5.4% compared to December 2023. Business and professional visits also saw a notable jump, rising by 73.3% during the same period. (TemA)
