The strategy sets out measures to refine monetary policy through advanced macroeconomic models and broaden financial instruments to address economic challenges.
Financial stability is a key priority, with plans to adopt international standards, including ISO 27002 for cybersecurity and Basel III for risk management. The modernization of payment systems is also highlighted, featuring real-time payments and integration into the EU’s TIPS platform.
Financial education plays a central role in the strategy, aiming to enhance public understanding of monetary policies and build trust in the banking system.
The bank also seeks to strengthen cooperation with European institutions and the Albanian government to support structural reforms and improve financial market development. Enhanced communication, including clearer reports on monetary policy and stability, is part of efforts to increase transparency and public confidence.
