Albania will be a net energy exporter by 2029, says minister

Deputy prime minister and minister of infrastructure and energy, Belinda Balluku was present today at an economic forum dubbed "Business Climate", which is being hosted in Tirana.

In her speech, the minister listed a number of big projects that the government is finalizing. According to her, the new airport in Vlora will be ready in 2025, while adding that by 2029, Albania will be a net exporter of energy for the entire region.

The minister also spoke about the government's plans to increase salaries and encouraged businesses to pay their workers more, adding that their rising costs will be subsidised.
