Albania saw the biggest increase in overnight stays in hospitality outlets

Data released by Eurostat indicate that in the first six months of the year, Albania has seen the biggest increase in Europe in terms of the number of overnight stays in hospitality outlets compared to last year.

The increase in the first six months of the year was 44.1% for Albania, followed by Cyprus and Montenegro. Meanwhile, the average difference in the number of overnight stays in European hospitality outlets was 12.9%.

Overnight stays in Albania from January to June were 1.7 million and 64% of them were made up of foreign tourists. Albania has managed to catch up with Montenegro, where overnight stays during this period were 1.79 million.

The amount of money spent by tourists in Albania also reached a record figure with 1.55 billion euros in the first half of the year.
