After being adopted by all parliamentary committees, the plan for the management of Butrint national park was also adopted in parliament on Monday. In her speech, culture minister Elvra Margariti has unveiled the bill for the management of this park, but the democrat MP, Ina Zhupa considered to be a concession agreement. According to the democrat MP, the park will be managed by private individuals and not the state. She said that the minister appears to be on the board, but not as Minister of Culture, but as a private person.

Another topic of the debate was the handling of historic data provided by Richard Hodge, a British historian, who, according to the minister is the neutral member of the management board. According to the British historian, Butrint used to belong to Greek colonies.

Meanwhile, a protest was staged outside parliament. Three members of the alliance forged on Saturday aimed at protecting the archeological site, have called on MPs not to vote the bill.

The passage of this bill gives way to the plan for the management of Butrint park, but the opposition has declared that the bill will be sent to the Constitutional Court.
