Hungarian folk group dazzles Tirana with vibrant performance

Tirana, September 4, 2024 — An evening of lively Hungarian folk music captivated audiences in Tirana on Monday, marking the start of Hungarian Cultural Week. The performance took place at Italy Square and was delivered by the acclaimed Sinvavëlgji Nejptanc Myhej folk group.

Known for their energetic rhythm and inventive improvisations, the group brought a burst of colour and excitement to the Albanian capital. Their performance showcased not only their impressive musical skills but also their ability to engage with the audience, both local and international.

The spectacle was a highlight of the cultural week, which also featured the unveiling of a statue of Albania's national hero, Gjergj Kastrioti Skanderbeg. Crafted from recyclable glass, the statue was displayed at the Pyramid of Tirana, adding an environmental touch to the festivities.

But the celebrations don't end there. Hungarian Cultural Week promises more vibrant events, including live concerts and unique activities such as Chess Jazz and Rubik’s Cube challenges. These events will keep Tirana, Elbasan, and Vlora buzzing with energy throughout the week.
